Joining one of our Fellowship groups can be a great way to get to know other church members in a more intimate setting while sharing some common interests.

St. Matthew’s Book Club
The book club usually meets the second Friday of each month, but make sure you check the church calendar page for exact meeting dates and times. We invite people of all ages to be a part of this club. Both men and women attend the book club meetings, which are held at people’s homes. We read fiction, non-fiction, biography, memoir, and everything in between, based on suggestions by the participants.
Though not all of our books are faith-based, our discussions often raise faith-related questions as we hold very spirited discussion about the books. If you want a place where you can stimulate your brain (loving the Lord by using your mind), debate the merits of the book you’ve read, and enjoy fantastic fellowship, the Book Club is the place for you. Feel free to come even if you haven’t read or finished the book.
Reel Fellowship Movie Group
Reel Fellowship organizes several movie outings per year either in the theater, in people’s homes, or in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend, but we do ask that you RSVP when possible so that we can make sure we have plenty of refreshments and make necessary arrangements. The best part of Reel Fellowship is always the discussion that follows the movie. Come to one screening or all of them, and please share your ideas for new or old movies you would like to watch together. For more information on upcoming shows, check the church calendar. You can also suggest a movie by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The United Methodist Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Matthew’s. Students in grades from 7th to 12th are welcome. The group's mission is to help guide our youth to a deeper understanding of how God’s Word relates to their lives through prayer, worship, studying the scripture, and by discussing topics that are relevant to them today! We do this in a relaxed, fun and engaging environment where our youth can build relationships and memories that will last a lifetime.
We believe as Christians, we need to actively put our faith into action, so opportunities are made available for our youth to grow, learn and develop in their own faith through service. This is accomplished in the form of activities such as summer camps, volunteer in mission trips, soup kitchens, gleaning, vacation bible school, and our worship arts teams to mention just a few.
We are created for relationship, first with Christ, and then with one another, so we routinely offer activities and retreats designed for our youth to promote community within the body of Christ. All programs are designed so everyone is accepted and can enjoy spending time with others in a highly engaging Christian environment.
Our greatest reward is when our youth choose to love, serve and share Christ with their lives.
The Xtreme Explorers Children’s Group meets several times each year (typically on a Friday evening) to create activities that help children learn more about Jesus’ love in a fun and relaxed setting.
